IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ

Trials are open to all and will involve an opportunity to bat and bowl in either a cricket net or ground. Players must bring their own batting equipment including pads, gloves and protector. We strongly advise that all adults wear an appropriate cricket batting helmet. Anybody under eighteen will not be allowed to bat without one. You are likely to face fast bowling and should consider other safety equipment such as thigh pad, chest and arm guards. We reserve the right to terminate the trial if we feel that a batsman’s standard or equipment puts him or her at risk from the bowling. We are looking for Twenty20-style players who are able to strike the ball well from the start and, depending on numbers attending the trials, this may involve only facing an over or two.
We are open-minded about the bowling but are looking for those who have real pace or spin. However we will also be looking at bowlers who can bowl variety with good control.
Wicket-keepers should bring their own gloves and pads.
If you do not have the necessary equipment you should indicate this on the form.
We will be observing all aspects of your game including fielding when possible. You will be informed on the night if you are being offered additional trials or practice sessions. Teams will be picked by the manager, coach and assistant coach. We will give some verbal feedback at the trial but will not be able to give out written reports.
